MGB: 12G295 Head

Hi guys,

I have this 12G295 head sitting around and I don't really have any plans for it. I think I'll sell it, how much should I ask for it?

I think thats the preffered head for a 998 Cooper S
Try looking on Ebay, and if you sell it there you might offer it to Great Britan. They are pretty desireable there IIRC
I'd clean it up, hot tank? and maybe have it magnafluxed before you sell it. You'll get a better price if you can guarentee its crack free.

12G295 head came on the 1098s, and have larger ports than the 948 heads, 948 guys will often use this head, and deck it a bit and use them on their 948 bottom ends, as a performance boost, there is a large audience for the 12G295 head, but there is one, so I advertise it here and on the BCF classified, As for a (no harm intended) a crusty 295 head that is bare and has no retainers, keppers (thay can be expensive if you have to buy them new), and no valve, if i wanted I would think $50 would be a god's plenty for it, maybe $100 bucks to interested party if the head was complete, plus it's a pig in a poke, who knows if it's not cracked, A series heads are nearly as bad to crack as MGB heads, but needless to say, they do come up cracked every now and then. This head does not work on 1275s in case you are wondering, it's a 948/998/1098 deal only.

Not sure if it's a 295 head, but there's no bids with 3 hours to go...
