I've got a guy wanting me to paint his 1934 MG PA. I'll probably do it, looks easy compaired to what I have done before. It has good paint, but a bad job of it now and it's a driver, not a show car. I told him I did't want any regular hours, just work as I pleased and that seems OK to him. Also that I want to finish the Jettup before starting on his car. He also has a '47 TC he bought restored to the max. In fact it's so proper he thought some things were wrong because he'd never seen one done exactly as it should be. He has a show quality 1960 A, a chrome bumper B, and a couple of others I haven't seen yet. He also has a small twin engine Cessna, a Beach King Air, Lear Jet, a DeHaveland Beaver, a Beach Stagerwing, some kind of STOL high wing tail dragger, two DC-3s, a Hughs 500 helicopter, and a Bell Ranger. His Cape Girardeau hanger is big enough to keep all that stuff in and he usually has something stached in his Denver hangar too.

PAs are really nice cars. Back in the day alot of MG folks thought the P series was demonstrably better than the T.
Course, MG folks are just like that. Always have been.
I had a chance once to drool over a PB Airline coupe. Super rare, super nice.
Those were truly beautiful little cars. Excellent coachwork.
Go for it John. He has a Beech Staggerwing? Wow! Those are rare and very desirable, does he fly it or just let it sit around as a hanger queen?
Just a home town boy who mowed lawns for money around here when he was a kid. Did all the right things in Silicone Valley and sold out just before the big slump hit out there. Not crazy, but a good sense of humor. His wife is black, (he didn't have her painted that way), and he laughs as hard as anyone around here at ethnic jokes.
He flies all of them quite a bit, except for the Lear. He has a pilot for it, for now anyway. He has a lot to learn about it, damn near made a big smokin' hole in the ground with it a couple of months ago, two guys with him got pretty excited.
Let us know what you decide to do, John, sounds like an interesting project!
Yeah, but you've still got your good looks and a nice 20 footer MGB. Look at it this way Joe, everybody else is just too damned extravagant, that thought has kept me semi-sane over the years.
Got no idea Gary. You know what they say, "The more you've got the more you want." I guess that's why I don't want none.
Lemme know and I'll run out and see what he has in his Denver hangar.

That's got to be one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built. I don't think I've seen more than three or four of them in my life.
