Researching archives, I discovered that the GT was launched in 1965. To the best of my recollection I've never seen one for real. Any forum members have one? Pics and story?

Manufacturing and sales started well into 1965 but only about 500 cars were produced before year's end. The majority were probably first registered in 1966, which is the year model they would carry on their registration.

I have a 1966 B-GT that was built April 4-5 1966 still fairly early but not a 65
