Is it just me, or does 55 sound like a whole lot of money for a raggety ole C project? I realize they are getting more and more scarce, but for goodness sake, this car looks like it needs a ground up, and when you're done, its still an automatic.
I mean,,, I'm just sayin'
Have fun
Nope, not just you! But, who knows.
My thought exactly. But then again it is only a asking price and he may be flexible. I guess it depends on the market.
That car has rust just like all the others...
This is a $15K project to get it right.
Wow, this car looks like it needs everything, not to mention some hidden surprises....
There is a great MGC roadster here in Atlanta that I almost bought a year ago for under $9000, nearly perfect, but the Guzman GT came up for sale again and I bought that instead. Unfortunately, not Daddy War-Bucks here, who could afford both!
Glad to point anyone truly interested in that direction. PM.
If that's been dry stored since 1978, those first 10 years must have been HELL!
I've seen this car listed before, though not with so many pictures. The body does look reasonably decent but with no interior and unknown mechanicals, that's maybe a $750 car with a 4 cyclinder? I guess it comes down to what the premium should be for a C over a typical "ran when parked" B. I do wish it was closer; I'd look at it for sure.
Waaay too much asking money. Car needs everything plus the stuff you dont see. Good project if you can buy it cheap and dont mind spending "more than you could buy a very nice one for" to restore. Yes it has been listed before, thought it was sold.

The asking price certainly leaves alot of room for negotiating!
Is there any part of it that is not rusted?
500.00 would be ok if you had lots of money and time to put into it.

I must say, I appreciate all the pictures. They don't seem like they are trying to hide anything.
Hard to say. The lower panels could be loaded with filler, but I don't think the photos look that bad. If it would run and someone had the patience to re-do the interior from the ground up, AND the body didn't need much, it's not out of the question, IMHO. Of course they always look different close up.
My mind changed quickly as I scrolled down the photos....
Once had a restoration shop tell me " you pay me $12,000 and I can make this into a really nice $8,000 MG".
I would have to think awful hard to even give $500 for that car.
