Saw something mentioned in another post. Was there actually a'70 1/2 MGB and what were the differences?

Brad. Not to my knowledge. There were some mid year changes to the 1970 model, but nothing that would be classed as a 70 1/2 model. The only big change was that the early cars still had alloy bonnets and the later ones went to steel.

There is a 1974-1/2 model. There may have been a typo.

actually, the rubber bumper 74 (74 1/2) should have been the 74 3/4. The 74 model year started out exactly the same as the '73 (through Dec 73). Then it changed to the large "sabrina" overriders for 6 months (many people call this version the 74 1/2) and then the rubber bumper twin carb version through Dec 74 (the other 74 1/2).

There are probably lots of pre-split bumper models manufactured in 1969 but sold and titled in some states as 1970's. Which would give some the impression that the split bumper was 1970 1/2.
