I have a really cool 1970 MGB GT that is availible for sale. This is a car that I performed a complete mechanical rebuild on about 8 years ago. The car been driven very little since. I'm currently in the process of performing a complete service on the car.
Overview:
VIN#GHD5UA188088G
Egine#18GFWEH8818
Engine: Completely rebuilt. Line bored 30 over. All new bearings (cam, rod and mains) new camshaft and lifters. All balanced. New oil pump, chain and gear sprockets. Head has new intake exhaust valves guides and seats.
Driveline: New clutch, plate and throwout bearing, new universal joints
Fuel System and exhaust: Rebuilt carburettors reamed and fitted with oversize throttle shafts. New fuel tank and fuel lines. New SU fuel pump. New exhaust Falcon SS system.
Electrical: Original alternator remanufactured, New Japanese lightweight reduction starter. New wiring from starter to electrical cutoff switch installed behind passenger seat, new 12 volt battery installed in passenger battery box.
Cooling system: Radiator was recored and waterpump replaced.
Brakes: Brake master and clutch cylinders were replaced. I had front calipers rebuilt and replace all metal and flex lines. I'm currently replacing the rear wheel cylinders and clutch slave cylinder.
Suspension: New swival set (new kingpins and trunions). New front shocks, MGB V& A arm bushings. New rear springs.
This car is a great reliable driver. The interior has a near perfect headliner. The dash has the usual crack on the top, but I have a perfect dash without any cracks on the top side that I will be installing shortly. The seats are orignal and and seat bottoms have been rebuilt. The carpets are in good shape. The car has chrome wire wheels. The wheels are good with some chrome pitting. The wiring harness is in nice shape. The engine compartment is beautiful.
The body years past had new floors, inner & outer rockers front fenders and rear quarters replaced. The car is solid. The paint is decent. It's blue. The bonnet is an original aluminum hood that has not been painted. The car looks really really cool blue and silver. This car is a split bumper car. It has the original rear bumpers which are in fair condition. I believe the front is an aftermarket Moss replacement form years ago. The car has an early style grille and taillamp setup.
I always try to represent my cars as best possible. Those that know me, know that I'm a bug when it comes to the mechanicals on my cars. I don't cut corners. I like my cars to be reliable so I can drive without trouble. This car is all of the above, a true driver.
I have a stack of records and part reciepts.
I'm asking $6500. I will be posting pictures shortly and will provide a link with many many pictures.

It sounds like a nice car but you will probably get more action in the Trader section. Don't forget Pics!
And definitely put it on a common site like craigslist. The trader forum here is fine, but there are a lot of parts and "WTB" listings there, so it's not an ideal source for someone looking to buy an MGB.
If it's on craigslist (or any one of a large number of public sources), it will get picked up by my MGB-only for-sale listings database. We have _current_ listings for over 1200 _separate_ MGBs for sale. Every listing is analyzed by computer and categorized by hand to enable immensely powerful searching and sorting capabilities.
We don't use the trader forum here as a source because the majority of cars listed there are also listed on alternate sites.

How are you Derek?
What kind of MG's are you up to? Are you going to Stowe?
Peter
Trying to hold steady on MG purchases. Haven't bought many, but always on the lookout, like everyone.
Stowe's always on my agenda. There are quite a few on the Forum who go.
