After a week of driving it everyday and with the limited response I decided to buy it back myself:)-D I will likely enlist some help in removing the engine and transmission on my spare and get it painted this fall and piddle during the winter to try and get back on the road for spring.
Thanks to do that expressed interest and for the kind comments as well.
As some may know I had a spinal fusion earlier this year and with a heavy heart but with the realization I can not complete what I wanted to I have decided to part with my MGB. I am confident I will come back for a third time but for now would like to reclaim some space.
So here is what I have.
A 1979 MGB which I purchase last year. The car runs great and all electronics, guages and lights work. The car as pictured has a soft top a year old, a Snug Top hard top, tonneau and with great tires on it. The brakes work fine and the compression test good on all cylinders.
I have done the following since getting her last fall.
Installed brand new Weber 38 Outlaw
New seat foams, seat webbings, backing and covers.
New JVC reciever with remote and 4 new Alpine speakers which you can hear going 70 down the highway.
The door panels were worn out so I made my own and covered in black cowhide.
I have purchase all new seals for windows and doors including the windshield some yet to be installed.
New thermostat and housing.
New Battery last week.
Car Cover.
All new seal for the Snug Top still in the boxes.
The car is by no means a show car and it does have some rust issues as well as a crack of doom on the passenger side. My plan was to build a car with chrome bumpers lowered with a nice new paint job.
Bonus Portion
I found a car which had been under works for a few years in a garage. The previous owner had the same idea as I to make the CB conversion and ended up getting married and had kids so the car was for sell.
The car was already done as far as body work and he had disassembled most of the interior in preparation for paint. He had removed the bumpers and had purchased the hardware for mounting the CB as well as the rear lights and blocks for lowering. The body is indeed in great shape but has some service rust from my storage, the hood and boot lid are in excellent shape, floors solid, doors straight and without cancer. The motor turned but did not have the fuel system hooked up, and the transmission seemd to shift smoothly.
So I am selling a car that you can drive and feel confident in as well as a second car somewhat unassembled for parts or restro. The second car also has like new tires on it as well.
I think I am pricing to move (3300.00) and with the investment I have made will loose significantly but has been worth it for the drives. You can contact me at nine one nine six nine seven five three three seven.

Sorry to see you sell your car. Someone is going to get a very good deal on this package.
Mike,
Thanks for the comments, I think I will be around for some time to come ;)
Jeff,
I'm so glad you found an enthusiastic buyer who won't indulge us with lots of "DPO" stories!
Great choice!
Wow that was quick Jeff. Somebody knew a deal when they faced it :) :)
Folks just wanted to clear up some confusion which I am sure 100% is my fault due to lack of using the Traded section.
When I updated the status to SOLD I also updated the listing to say.

I have put over 200 miles on the car and really enjoyed everyone and just hated to think about putting them on Craigs List and dealing with that. My hopes were to sell it to someone on here and avoid the CL deal or no deal scenario.
So it looks like you guys are stuck with me a little longer.;)
Good for you Jeff. Jeff we have one of those portable lifts if you want to borrow it. I'm really glad you kept the car :)
That's the best deal you could have made. Congratulations. If you are ever up this way stop in and see me.
