Can anyone tell me if there is a fast idle screw on this carb?
Thanks

Robert, there is only a mixture screw & an idle screw. At least I haven't found one yet. The fast idle is tied in with the choke somehow. If you find one, please let us know ok. Good luck.

No fast idle. There is only an idle adjustment screw that will allow you to adjust the RPM level of the idle. The Idle mixture screw is the only adjustable part of this carb. It is simple, if you get it right, and it is not hard to get that way, it will idle smoothly at between 600-900 depending on taste. It should then accelerate easily in the higher RPM ranges. If it faulters on accel., it is too lean or rich. adjust again, you can tell by the sound it makes which one it is typically.

There is a fast idle screw connected to the choke mechanism. If you look at how the choke works you'll see it. It essentially keeps the throttle slightly open so long as the choke is open. Won't drop out of fast idle until you tap the gas pedal and the choke is open.

On the 32/36 DGV I have, the manual choke lever has a built in cam shape to it that moves the throttle a bit to increase the rpm when the choke is applied. On my car it only raises the rpm about 300-400. There is no high speed idle screw for a manual choke. You want to adjust your idle rpm when the car is fully warmed up and the choke is open.

Other models of the 32/36 with electric and water chokes use the high speed screw, not the manual choke model.

I didn't know that the manual choke model had no fast idle screw. On my water choke model there is one...see picture
