you might get more responses if you post some photos of the car here, and specifically show photos of the problem areas... sills, doglegs, lower front fenders, floor boards, evidence of no "crack of doom," etc.
"solid body" can mean different things to different people ;)
Thanks Ad'm..... [mumbling to self, how do I do dat?]
It has reupholstered seats.............
Selling a car on the internet is like, very difficult...
Especially for those far away......
And of course setting on a fair price. MY sweat and blood may not be what YOU might think it's worth...
But I need to move this car............

Dwight, unfortunately those of us who choose not to be on FaceBook cannot see any of your pictures without signing up.
You may have to find another way to post some pictures here for the rest of us.
Jim
Wonder if it would sell better if I installed a V-6 in it?
I just had a look at your photos on FB, Dwight but if I may suggest a couple of things. Photos on a site like FB could deter some potential shoppers as they might not like to sign or join a social network to view photos.
Even if you post a few on here, that will go a long way to getting buyers attention. As long as you have the photos saved on your computer, click on the "Attach a file..." button, find the photos you want and attach them.
Selling cars nowadays is really hit-and-miss. More miss than hit. The right buyer will come along but will likely take some time. As for a V6....well, that will really limit your potential market. You'll have to find someone who 1) wants an LE, 2) wants a V6 and 3) wants a V6-powered LE.
Have you thought about Craigslist, Kijiji and/or eBay? Do some research on these sites to see what comparable cars are going for. $6500 doesn't seem unrealistic as long as the car is as advertised. Most people are looking for a driver and needing only minimal work to keep/get it going.
Please don't think any of this is being critical of your posting. Just observations on my part.
Good luck with the sale.
Well thank you Simon. I 'preciate it.
I was just kidding about the V-6. Though my son at BMC-British does them..

My personal car, which I broke [wrinkled] at the Austin Healey hill-climb still has the original engine with a 'bit' of extra power.....
Ah ha, I should have recognized the name, Dwight. I believe we met at Reno.
I 'spose if this car sells through this forum I will need to make a 'donation?
I will that gladly.
You don't 'need' to, Dwight, but I believe it's the gentlemanly thing to do.
Have you had any inquiries with the car?
Not a bad car............
Just hoping that someone will buy this car...........

Unless you can wait for spring/summer, Dwight, might be time to consider eBay. You can always put a reserve on it or take your chances.
Still wanna sell this car.......

Well, I guess if anything, is there anyone interested in a '79 MGB LE?
In very good condition and ready to drive....?
NOw if only I could figger out how to delete this post.......................
