To update a previous post where I discovered that Moss was stocking the wrong Lucas 4TR controller for the '68-era Lucas alternator with exterior controller:
-Moss is trying to get in new stock that is the proper part,
-I just got a refund from Vic Brit 'cause they, too, have the wrong part in stock.

The correct one on the left is Lucas' Part# NCB 148. The wrong part is the NCB 144 on the right. I know this affects only those few of us with cars in the range, but I thought the info worthwhile to post as a heads-up and for clarification.

That's got to irritate you a little although it probably is an honest mistake.

In a pinch you can buy a regulator for an old Chrysler and make you a couple of jumper wires.
Not as pretty but it will get you home and do just fine until you get "the correct one". ;-)
Fifteen bucks as I recall.
