Question for MGTD experts: Can you guys help me figure the fair value of the 1953 TD which I have inherited from grandfather?

Here are the specifics:
He bought it from the original owner in 1957. It has been stored since 1967. I have clean Ca title in my name and original DMV registrations from 1963-1966. The 1967 stickers are still on the CA black license plates. It does not run currently; grandpa had removed the old wiring harness and never installed the new one he purchased from Moss Motors in 1985, and the fuel lines and pump must be reconnected.

There are a couple pieces missing - the original steering wheel, glove box lid, and bumper gaurds are absent. They seem to be lost in one of many family moves over 40 years. My father may have these items.

There is some very light body damage on the drivers side quarter panel. Grandpa had this covered 70's style body butter. I removed it and covered in a high quality primer.

The current photos of the car show it wearing the same wheels and tires as in the late 60's photo of grandpa working on the car. I have the original red wheels, they will be installed tommorrow. Also there is a photo of the 1966 reg.

The original mileage is unknown. Shows 00264. It either broke or was disconnected early in the cars life. The condition of the undercarraige and original chrome is incredible.

I have the original convertable top and side curtains. They are original and weathered but in good condition. Grandpa made the custom tonneau cover which matches the dash. The Lucas glass headlamps and license plate light are in amazing condition. As well as the Lucas windtone Horns.

Can anyone recommmend an asking price/opening bid for an auction(ebay)?
From what I can gather the parts alone in their condition would be 7,000 to 8,000.
Any idea how much its condition, documention of 40 yrs storage could add to that? Also, what other resources would you suggest I use to most accurately assess the value?
Vehicle location is Norhtern California
Any and all feedback appreciated
Thanks All

Get the engine running. Replace speedo cable and drive it.. Ebay around $5000 and see where it goes.
If engine is bad.. then around $4000
You never know... might fine the right buyer at abetter price.
