I've only had the car for a few months but have figured out that it is not big enough or practical enough for the growing family (2 yr old and one month old at home). To the best of my knowledge it is a 1963 Sprite but the engine is 1275cc and both engine and trans were rebuilt just before I bought it. No rust that I can find, Paint is new(ish), BRG with black stripe. It has a top, tonneau and windows all in good condition, new Ansa exhaust and tires, wheels are generic black but I have a set of Minilite knock-offs that will be included. The bumpers are currently off the car but I have them as well. Title in hand is clear NJ title, odo says 80,000ish but not sure how accurate that is. Only thing I have done since buying it is put a few hundred miles on it and have the gauges (tach, speedo and fuel) fixed though the fuel gauge is empty at about 1/4 full (probably the sender in the tank per Sports and Specialist Cars in NJ). Ask questions if interested, I'll take more pics on request.
Make an offer, I know what I paid but will take a grand or so less...

I like that subtle black striping!

That's beautiful. I vote you keep it. My 3 year old loves to go for rides in "the little loud car". How else are the kids going to inherit the sickness?

depends on whether your wife lets you take the three year old in a car without seats, roll-bar, or any other safety measures to speak of (plus my oldest just turned two).

some interest thru email but feel free to drop a line and I will get back to you re questions, pics etc.

My kid loves to ride in mine. Put a seat belt and a roll bar in it and keep it. Could you take a close up of the driving light mount setup? I like that!

My two boys went everywere in mine. Use to even strap them in one behind the other to go to Little League. They started to ride in it before they could walk.

X2 on the request for close-up pics of the driving light mounts... Those are slick!

Check out Classic Motorsports Magazine's Midget project:

http://classicmotorsports.net/project-cars/1971-mg-midget/

They had a similar setup on the lights. Great magazine if you haven't seen it.

Guys and gals,
The cars is still for sale (contrary to popular opinion I'm not keeping it!), was thinking somewhere in the $5000 range. If interested let me know by email at kstiermd at gmail dot com. Search craigslist for south NJ and you will see further details and pics.

The 5000 runner is probably a lot better buy though. I imagine it would cost much, much more than 5000 to get the 67 in near the same shape as the 63.

Ok, my heart stopped racing. When I first read your post I thought you wrote you would take a grand or less!!!!!!!! I was half way to NJ in my mind when I re-read your initial post. Car looks real nice from the photo. I hope you dont regret selling it. Roger.

also, price is $5000 OBO and the minilite knock-offs I mentioned are replicas not actual knock-off type wheels...mechanically this car is in great condition and has been starting on demand all winter here in the Northeast!!!

Judging by your discription of the car, that's a very fair price.
