got the dash back in, everything hooked up like it was before take out and the gauges dont work.
lights work, but not the actual gauges. Does anyone have pics of their gauge wiring. I think I got a bad ground...

Will a faulty ground cause them all to not work ?

Not sure if a ground is your problem as the gauges actually ground through their mounting bracket to the dash to the body. Yes, I'm aware the 69's had a separate ground harness (I installed that one back on my 69 GT's wiring when I rebuilt it). Keep in mind, the later CB cars gauges didn't use a separate ground harness and they use similar gauges. I did test my car during the rebuild and the gauges worked regardless of the separate harness connected or not.

Erich, I would do the test on your gauges that requires you to pull of the wire at the sender, ground to clean metal and see if the gauge goes to "full" (fuel gauge) and "hot" (temp). I'm not sure if the electric oil gauge works in the same way or not.

Make sure you have the wires connected at the voltage stabiliser. They all get their power through it so if it's not connected, nothing will work. The stabiliser unit itself also needs to be grounded.
