My little brit car is doing much better than my computers. I think I share Ed Dudley's problem with cookies, or else I have a virus. I got here today via AOL. My Netscape won't even let me sell stuff on Ebay. When I click my bookmark for this site I get posts from 4 days ago. Garlic isn't working. Should I call in the clergy?

Sounds like it to me. Glad the car is ok. ;-)

Kicking and cussing it works better than garlic.

If your'e like me and use this damned thing to try to earn a living(Commercial Artist) we will both be bald by the end of the week from pulling hairs out. Took me all day to get the printer and 'puter to cooperate and print one stinking file out even though it was a 378MB file. Maybe like the Army mules, a good whack across the forehead with a 2x4.

Have you ever come to the point where something on your car is such a mother f#%$er to fix and after sever hours of doing everything you can to repair it, you just absolutely lose it pick up something heavy and whip it as hard as you can at the car. I did once....once, trying to get the the bolts out of the front leaf spring shackles on my 77 B. around the fourth hour of hacksawing, a 3/4" wrench managed to levitate from my hand and fly out of the garage and busted the front headlamp, three more hours later the same thing happened to the other headlamp. After eight hours of hacksawing two bolts on either side of the leaf spring, they finally came out.
You would love to hear about the twenty one hour water pump/timing belt replacement on my 83 rabbit convertible. But that for another day.

Sam, please don't mention my name too loudly. I have not seen the riffage.com banner in the past two days. And mine's fine as long as it does not show up

Thomas,
BTDT!!! I once kicked a dent in my old VW Bug. Of course, no one noticed it among all the others that it had. I eventually learned to walk away when you get to that point. Go have a smoke or a Coke, (or other beverage) and chill out for a few minutes. That is a lot easier now, with the B. It isn't my primary transportation. Back then, that Bug was my one & only means from point A to B & when something went wrong, I had to fix it TODAY or walk.
Try not to let it get you to that point. It usually ends up costing money (like 2 new headlights).

When I was working as a professional mechanic I had to do the old "Coke and a smoke" thing every now and then. It works, you go back on the job with a whle new attatude and things just start working out.

I've really missed reading all the daily posts here. My Netscape shows posts dated 6 days ago no matter what I do. I can get here only through AOL, which takes more time to load. Is this a conspiracy caused by AOL's purchase of Netscape or is there another solution. Hope everyone is either driving their mgb or trimming out for spring. Cheers!!

Whatever the problem is, its not Netscape... I've been using the latest Navigator 4.x for ages and everything is fine. Maybe you have some heinously old version

Actually, I have a newer version of Netscape and have no problems with other sites I have bookmarked for quite some time. I'm just happy to be here and learn from you guys. Thanks Skye. You have created an incredible site here that is better than the Beatles, except for their music. Long live the Queen, and may she knight Sir Lucas.

Gerry Gary and John. A coke and a smoke does keep the pressure down. I think your insite on the car being primary transportation hit it right on, that always seems to be the situation. Although.... maybe some cars need a good beating from time to time, to remind them to work or else!!!!!!! (ha ha)

Hears my favorite automotive pep talk:"listen hear you silly machine, you let me get that tranny back in you or I'm going to kick you so hard, your going to be S*%ting Nikes for a thousand miles!
