Hi all,
I'm repainting the B this spring, and want to refresh the EPA sticker. But as everybody knows, '73 & '74 EPA stickers are NLA from any of the usual suspects, so I decided I would have my own made up.
I believe the sticker on my '74 in original, and George Heissenberger was kind enough to send me a photo of his '73 sticker which he thinks is original too.
But because I want to get this right, I would like a couple more high resolution photo's of '73 and '74 EPA stickers (the one on the slam panel with the picture of the carbs).
I've attached a copy of George's small picture for reference, it's just what I'm looking for composition-wise, but not high enough resolution.
Please PM me and I'll send you my email address where you can send it.
Thanks a lot!
David

David I have one you can borrow to make copies from. Send me your adress and I can mail it to you.

I'd be interested in one if it looked original and wasn't super expensive.
Yea if someone would get a line of making some of these or some already made I would be interested, I'll take 10 right off the bat. Depending on price of course.
Some "copy " and "auto trim " shops do custom or one off work.Copy shops that do commercial work for advertising.
I'm working on it guys.
I need a new one for my '74, but I'll be printing up a bunch. And to make it look as good as possible, I'm looking for people to send me pictures of original '73 and '74 stickers. Any help is appreciated.
And when they're done, I'll post the results here.
David
This is the best I have from the seller of my car. I'll take a better photo if I get back to my car anytime soon, but it's likely to be 4-6 weeks or so.

I have high resolution shots of mine, for this very purpose.
I'll get them tonight, and I also want to throw in with the "I'll buy one from you" crowd.

Thanks Walter, and Tom!
I noticed that I didn't come right out and say this, so maybe I should say this explicitly: I'm planning on selling these when I'm done.
It's great to hear that there is interest. I bought a sticker off of ebay a while ago, but it was so poorly done, that I won't use it on the B. And my car is a survivor/driver, not a concourse resto by any stretch!
Thanks again guys,
David

I'm still interested in some stickers, whatever happened ?

They are on their way. Productions issues... Trying to make them as accurate, and as high a quality, as I can. I had planned to have this done a few weeks ago. Sorry.
Watch this space for an announcement soon! Thanks for the reminder.

This is frustrating. This sticker is available as I bought a new one for the Iris Roadster over a year ago. It's on the car now but I can't find the package it came in. I do remember though that it was via Ebay USA. I just did a search and can't find it. But they are out there.
The ingition key sticker for the steering cowel is NLA, so I made one by color photcopying onto a painted (silver) weatherproof shipping label (Staples). I can't post pics of either as the car is out for hood fitting.
Colin, I bought one 2 years back for my 72 and also bought it through e-bay US. Funny that is actually was shipped from South America. The quality looked like OE to me.

Gary, I bought the '74 version from the South American vendor, I think the postmark said it came from Peru, and I wasn't impressed with it. The good news is, that decal was the reason I decided to make my own!
Like I promised (ages ago), I'd announce here when they were available.
They are available for '73 and '74 MG-B's! It turns out the work on Midget's too!
They look like this when installed on my car. This is the '74 version:

Looks like your URL was too complicated or long for the MGE to display the picture.
I shortened the URL using bit.ly, but I don't know how long those links are good for...
Here goes:

EDIT: Great. It worked the first time when previewing my post, but not the second. Maybe you can upload a pic to Picasa and share via that link?
EDIT2: OK, I found your site on google and got a much shorter link to the Image. It ought to work now.
That's weird. It shows up both places with Chrome, shows up neither place with Internet Explorer. (Thanks Microsoft...)
Here, I'll just post the actual picture.
Pictures of it installed are on my website too, here: http://sites.google.com/site/eastwoodperiodaccessories/decal-placement
And another photobucket album by Scottydawg here:http://s218.photobucket.com/albums/cc284/scottbrawner/emissions_sticker/
