No affiliation. Just came across this on craigslist, and the price and claimed "rust free" condition caught my eye.

Nice looking car. Spend some time tidying up the engine bay and go driving!
Now THAT would have been a great Gary's Run car! Where's Steve Lacey?
Funny you should mention Steve, Chris. I was thinking the same thing.
Rust free in Coos Bay???????:)o I grew up going to the Oregon Coast every weekend and can not remember seeing a 1970's built car with out rust. Rust killed my Grandfathers P1800 on the coast.
We need an inspection with photos.
Rod, Chris; which one of you is volunteering?

Wayne just drove through there on his Winter trip! Maybe he can stop there on his return? OTOH, should we let Wayne do that? His resistance to buying MGBs had been really low lately. ;) I don't really believe the rust free part either, withour seeing it.
It's a long drive for me, and a really long one for Chris!
Looks like Wayne is volunteering. Rod, you want to tell him? :)

I'll post to his "Winter trip" thread and let him know! :D

I agree with Mark. On a MGB priced that cheap, no rust means no rust that you can see. It's all been covered up with "Bondo".
It's good to be remembered, gentlemen. Thank-you.
Coos Bay is 600 miles from here, though.
If only I had been impulsive and bought a car three years ago! Instead, I decided to be cautious, get a little learning and wait for "the right one."
A little learning is a dangerous thing. (Alexander Pope)
For me, only about 350 miles round trip and 7.5 hours driving time, according to google maps. :)

Chris,
What qualities make a good Gary's Run car?
For me it might be different than for other people. Dependability is the most preferrable trait. Looks is second.
