Does anyone have a picture of a 76 MGB radio console? I am missing the one from my car. I also need to know what switches and lights ect are in this console and where. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

This is what mine looked like before replacement of the console and parts.

From Left to Right
Left side retangle (verticle) and circle top right of the retangle blank plates.
Retangle lower left seat belt waring light.
Above the seat belt light and slightly to the right is the flasher bulb, lens should be red. I have since replaced.
Next Flasher switch.
Cigarette lighter
Below lighter I think it was an ERG, anti run on - sensor bulb or something like that. I do have a bulb in there, but have changed out the carb to a weber and not using this sensor.

If you're not looking for originality, you can do a lot of nifty things with the console....

Heh. From left to right: Fog lamps, radiator cooling fan emergency override, hazard.

Aftermarket cooling fan control units tend to be short-lived. I needed the switch more than once until I finally found one that hasn't quit on me. (In fact, due to the problems with the ^&*^& control units I ended up retrofitting the OEM yellow plastic pulley fan. The electric pusher is just a backup that pretty well never sees use.

Mike & Rick, exactly what I was looking for. Thank You very much. I am going to make a radio console & will only need to add the hazard switch, light, power outlet, & radio.

Has anyone ever fabbed one of these up from scratch instead of starting with the orginal unit? I'd like to do that since I want to use different heater controls on my '80. I'm wondering on what materials to use and how well it woud look.

This is what I am thinking of doing. I will probably weldup something with some scrap metal I have to fit with the floor console and dash. Haven't given it any serious thought yet.

I did some fiberglass fabbing with another car of mine. Would probably be the easiest way. If you cover with carpet it is even easier since you don't need to finish it perfectly. There is a real good fiberglass site that gives step by step directions. I just did a google search for it. If I could remember the name I'd post it.
