Can someone please tell me how to get the 2 rubber trans mounts out so I can replace them ? I crawled under the car but can't figure out how to get to the two bolts that have the rubber mounts They look like they screw up into the trans from the bottom but I can't reach the bolts maybe I am looking right threw it, but I can't figure it out. Anyone please help

Thanks

IF ? the rear mount is the same on your rubber bumper as it is on my 73 (photo), then:
1. One set of bolts goes straight up through the bottom of the chassis frame, from under the car.
2. Another set of bolts goes from the interior of the car, under the carpet, on either side of the tranny tunnel, just along the front of the shifter boot area, laterally inot the mount.

4 bolts hold it to the car. The other bolt positions to hold the tranny are in the photo. You have to take off the mount to replace the rubber pieces. The nut to unscrew the rubber bolt is inside a well that cannot be gotten to with it mounted on the car.

Again, thats how it is on my 73' chrome bumper model. Someone with a rubber bumper should confirm for you.
Good luck.

If it's like my 79', you'll have to pull the engine. It has the round mounts with studs coming out both ends of it.
