Hey, My dimmer switch is completely frozen up. After seeing a the cost of 130 dollars for a replacement switch I've taken some action. Two rivets in the back of the switch hold the assembly together. I've drilled them out and soaked all parts. I've regained a smoothe motion in turning of the knob. If any one is familiar with the inside of this device there are two plates which appear like something you would see inside of a computer. Mine has slight corrosion. I'm considering soldering part of the switch to complete the contacts on the switch. I'm going to reassemble with super glue and it will either work or not. I don't feel like replacing the switch for that kind of money!
