After having removed the wiper switch for cleaning in hopes for the "Park" feature to work. I have a question about the copper selector spring. What is the correct position for the arms of this spring, What contacts (wire colors) do I need to make contact with?

Thanks!

The 'park' fuctionality it in the wiper motor not the column switch.
Rick Astley covers this well on pages 162-164

He says to diagnose:

Unclip combined auto-park switch from the motor casing. Manually operate switch as motor turns. Pressing the button on switch should stop the motor. If motor stops, check integrity nylon cam through aperture in housing. Re-install switch making sure it locates properly. Replace switch if necessary.

Edited to fix typos ... gosh my typing sucks these days!

Thanks Peter!

I rather enjoyed taking the switch and cleaning it. Now just to get it together again!
I will turn to the wiper motor next.

John Twist covers this topic very well in one of his You tube videos.
