Not the best way to say " I love you!" or to introduce the Mrs. to LBC anyway.
I remember an old Amos 'n Andy episode where Amos bought his wife a vase for her birthday. He actually bought one that was broken so he could get a better price. He was a cheapskate. Anyway he told the store to wrap it up and deliver it, thinking that he could get by by blaming the delivery service for the breakage.
You guessed it, the store had wrapped each piece individually. LOL
Anyway, Jeff, you might get in touch with Hap or Tony. Both of them are within spitting distance from you and at least one of them will have a decent motor sitting around somewhere.

Well hello and welcome Jeff Coe. My last name is Coe also. These folks will help you find an engine in short order. Now a question to you from me: Where did the name Coe originate :)
Watch out Jeff! This woman is an MGB nutcase. Just look at the list of here "holdings". On top of that she made her husband retire just so he would have time to keep her fleet on the road. She's a nice girl though. I understand that she lets him go fishing every third Thursday. LOL

Hi Jeff glad to see you found this place. Wish you luck. I told you there was another Coe in this forum.
Gil DuPre
Word has it that Gil Dupre parks his GT on the street at night. I think his engine is in good shape so if you want to know how to hot wire a B get back with me. LOL

No...but he rebuilt the engine!
Sit back and take a few deep breaths. This is not the time for hasty decisions (I sound like a fortune cookie). You may be better off buying a rebuilt engine or you may be better off having yours rebuilt. Did the rod bearing just knock or did you throw a rod?

Wonder if he guaranteed it??
Welcome Jeff, sorry to hear of your misadventure. You won't only find a new engine here but you will also be offered a whole new car to buy. :)
These folks will come through for you whatever way you go with the engine.
Best of luck
Paul
