Hi All. Thought I'd post about my trip button issues I've had for the last 10k or so miles. Early on, if I flicked the trip button, it would reset to all 0's, but simply pressing it would only get the numbers to shift and not reset. Now, I have a difficult time getting them to 0's and often end up satisfied with my 1's digit halfway between to which it stays for the entire tank. The button does not stick in, still feels like it has normal spring back pressure.

Is there any way to fix this?

I would like to avoid changing speedos so I can keep the mileage accurate. Thanks for any suggestions.

The ultimate solution on something like this is to have the gauge gone through and rebuilt by someone like Nisonger Instruments, but it isn't exactly cheap. They tend to get booked up in the winter, but if you pull it out after the driving season they'll have it back to you before spring.

Wish it did Kent. Great read, but it didn't go in to any detail as to how the reset for the trip works. I'm going to e-mail the author and see if he will still respond to a document so old and give me any tips.
