Well the BMW guy is interested again!! He wants to meet up friday and see if its really going to happen, but I have a good feeling about it. I also got some work lined up so I will be able to buy the starter, before or after the trade, I dont mind. But I wanted to post some pictures of the BMW in question here. He already referred me to AZBMW.org where I made an account and was approved, and I checked out his car, and it has no issues at all. But enough talk, lets look at some pics!! I think its totally awesome!

Those wagons are good cars, I had a bunch of friends that had the sedan version in the UK back in the 90's. I loved them, they were very capable cars.

I think that you'll enjoy it.

Im hoping so!! its a straight six, the good motor too. Non-vanos with 200hp. 75mm stroke, 84mm bore. 24 valve M50B25.

The inside is incredible, and I love the double sunroof! its crazy!!

Yeah, that plus the fact that it will be a lot more practical haulin' wifey and the kids to Costco to stock up on diapers!

Well that too :) The parts for it are pretty cheap as well... only the starter and alternator are expensive, and they are still under 180.

the M50B25 only came with autotragic lol he said the 5 speed swap is cake and he was going to do it but never go around to it.

Definately something I would like to do though.... Once I teach the Miss' how to shift so she doesnt detonate a BMW motor lol

Watchout for the sunroof. Neat feature, but complicated to fix and unfortunately getting to the point where they just break. Good haulers though, they are cheap to buy just make sure it's in good shape. Not a car you want to 'restore'.

had a straight 6 325 BMW for years. Everything body wise easy to work on - thoughful access points designed in to get a socket to bolts that would otherwise be pretty hard to reach - a world away from MG's! Suspension etc strightforward. Engine a tangled web of specific service tool requirements - bit beyond my capabilities, but there again, didn't have much call to do anything other than oil/filter/air filter changes. But a workhorse for sure - when I got rid of it must have had better part of a quater million miles - yes, it was pretty tatty inside by then, and the red paint had faded from red to pink to off white, the alloy wheels wwere peeled and in a state, but it was nonetheless a sad day to say goodbye to old faithful. Have had other BMW's here and there, never for long though, but that engine was the smoothest running engine of the lot of them.
Other thing to watch with the sunroof is the drain holes block up, and when the water eventually comes away, its stinks!
