Anybody on this system. I'm not using my phone very much and my contract with ATT has expired, so it is time to make a move. Pros/cons?

Check out TracPhone if you don't use your phone very much. They've constantly got some kind of good deal going and signal coverage is great. I end up with mine costing me about $6.25 a month with all the roll-over minutes I have. I always buy minimal minutes and exrtend my time to use them. They've got some kind of big deal running at Wal-Mart almost all the time.
Tracphones do seem to be a pretty good deal. I got my wife one almost three months ago and it works fine for our use. The flip phone was $17.88 and a card for three months and 60 minutes was $29.88. We got a bonus 20 minutes for activating the phone online, for a total of 80 minutes.
The only complaint I have is that the battery only holds a charge about 6 days even if the phone isn't used.
I was wondering if the minutes roll over John....that's good news! I think she still has about 50 left, and we need to get another card in the middle of April.
Will a Tracphone work on the US west coast?
I am thinking of getting one for my US trips. They include long distance to all of North America as regular minutes.
This makes it cheaper than what our Verizon land line charges us to phone Canada from the US.

Ours works in Oregon. We had it with us when we were in Seattle this week, but we didn't use it there. I had it with me in case I got lost while driving around and needed to get instructions from my son-in-law....would have been a bad time to find out it didn't!
I use T-Mobile To Go. It is a pay-as-you-go system. It cost me $24 for the phone and an initial $25 worth of minutes. They last 90 days (I think) but if you do a $100 top-up, the minutes will last 1 year, and then you can extend a year at-a-time by paying for a minimum top-up ($10). I am in my third year, and so far it has cost me $159 TOTAL! (Thats about $1/week - not bad!)
Coverage isn't as good as some of the other services (Nextel for example), but the price is right and it seems to work everywhere I have needed it! The charge is $0.10/minute which is high compared to the other services, but it only costs that if you use it! For low-time users, it is very cost effective. I still have almost $86 worth of calls left to go!
