Here's one that has just been put on the side of road near our home. We knew the owner who died in an accident two years ago. By the way he owned one of the local car dealerships. The picture shows the front bumper missing but they do have it. Anyway here are some pictures:

Naomi,

I'm not as savvy as most on here.

Do you know what year it is?

Tom,

Naomi also posted this on the Midget board. She said it is a 73.

David,

How do you tell the 73 from an early 74?

The early midget has the round rear wheel arch, then moved to the square rear wheel arch to pass crash testing.

I don't know what the year of this change was - maybe 74?

If $2800.00 is the price, and the car is as solid as it looks, that's a good deal. You have to love the dash cover and whatever happened to the driver's side carpet?

Just needs the red stripe and it would the right colour scheme for USAUS Racing

OR some British racing, as the UK flag is the same color(America copied).

I looked at it again this afternoon and the metal tag on the door frame says it was built 11/72. The doors and all seem to be much more heavy than my MGBs. Oh that stuff on the floor is insulaton because the carpet has been pulled back. Seems like a nice little car and I understand it is a one owner.

Oh, needs a new top :)

The only difference between a 73 and an early 74 (built before 12/31/73) is that the slots in the steering wheel were filled in on the 74's. Starting 1/1/74 they had the rubber block Sabrina bumpers.
