Got the carbs rebuilt and took her out for her first, brief, drive today. Runs and shifts great, but need to rebuild the brake and clutch systems.
Hasn't been drivin since 94. Great feeling to bring her back to life!

I am glad to here you saved another one from rotting away! Reminds me of my Super Beetle. It was sitting since about '94, and it was great getting it back on the road. All that sitting in a garage did not do it any good at all. I understand letting a car sit if you cannot afford to fix something, but there was nothing wrong with my bug. I wonder why they just let it sit for 10 years? All it needed was new brake hydraulics, tune-up, and 4 new Kumhos to get it on the road.
peace, Kyle
