Been looking for a radio for a while now, think I got a good price considering what they have been going for.

Looks cool. I am not restoring an MG but driving it but still a radio like that would be great to have. Good job.

I say go for it. I found one recently and installed it in my car (pic below). This one doesn't work, but I don't listen to a radio in this car anyways.

I was lucky enough to find one on ebay for $19.00. The seller said it wasn't working but after I removed the broken antenna wire sleeve, it worked fine. I'm still looking for a rubber knob because one of mine is damaged. They are hard to find.

I bought it for a whole of a bunch more than you paid! It does look nice in there!

I have one like it only mine is am/fm. I'm thinking of sending it to have the insides updated to current standards.

Paul I seem to rember these at Princess Auto about 5 or 6 years ago in their surplus section.
They had about 20-30 of them at the Mississauga, Ont. store and all were AM radios, brand new in the box w/face plates and knobs.
They were selling for about $ 5.00 at the time.
Didn't think they were worth anything so I never scooped any up.
Figured everybody was switching to FM/CD players.
With the prices being fetched on Ebay maybe I should have.
