Hi!
I'm planning a road trip tomorrow from New Jersey to Iowa and was looking for some volunteers for along the way that would be willing to help with spare parts/tools, etc if needed.
Because we're in the process of moving to the UK, all of my spares (and tools) have been either put into storage or into the container. I would of course reimburse any expenses and replace you parts with new.
I changed the engine oil, tranny oil, and rear end fluid and do not expect any surprises but you never know. I will be traveling from New Jersey to Pennsylvania on I-287 and then through the mountains on 33 to I-80. Then on I-80 through Penn, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa.
If you're located along this route and would be willing to lend assistance if needed, please drop me a note...
Thanks in advance!

Sorry, but I'm in California, but I think you may be going in the wrong direction.
You may ant to consider getting a list off of Tony aka. The Autoist. From my understanding it contains the names, numbers and addresses of individuals willing to help out a B owner along the route, I'm sure someone can provide a link if I can't find it.
But I live near I-80 around the Ohio border, don't have much in the way of parts, but I can help out and have tools if needed. I'll PM you my number.
Here's the link to Tony's list:

Craig,
I'm in Akron, OH, just south of Cleveland. Glad to lend a hand or tool if you're in need. I'm on Tony's list.

Hi Everyone,
Update on the trip... Smooth as silk... Except that the seat got a little "hard" and the awkward throttle leg position :)
Left NJ right around 4pm just in time for the rush hour crawl on 278/78 from NYC... Made it to to I-80 as the sun was setting. Drove through the mountains, through Ohio and stopped for a 3 hour nap at a service plaza in Indiana around 4:30. Got back underway by 8am, blew through the rest of Indiana and Illinois and arrived at my destination in Iowa a little past lunch.
Maintained an indicated 80 (which according to GPS was 77.5) most all the way. Didn't keep track of gas consumption but the oil was pretty much still on "Max". The iPod straight into the ears kept the road noise down! During the night, I was only passed by one car, and he was rewarded with a ticket about 10 mins later, LOL.
Thanks for your kind offers of assistance! And for the link to the autoist list!
