Had a most wonderful day in Mayberry yesterday. Several members of the show were there. Breakfast at the BlueBird Cafe, parade at 9Am, great fun during the rest of the day and then late lunch as Snappy.
Now a question: Who are these folks in the pictures? One is an actual cast member and the other the Son of one of the cast?
Your turn :)
Reason for edit --Forgot the pictures :)

Picture 1: The one on the left or right?
Picture 2: That chick from Picture 1 with Floyd's kid?
There was a small article in the NY Daily News today about Betty Lynn (Thelma Lou) moving from Hollywood to Mount Airy. She's 81 years old and her home in West Hollywood was broken into twice last year. She had visited Mount Airy several times for the Mayberry Festival and decided to settle there, taking up residence in a retirement community. Any pictures with her, Naomi?

Here's one of her in the parade. I haven't downloaded the memory card with the one of her and I together. Anyway here's Thelma Lou as of yesterday.
Yes that was Charlene Darling in the picture. She and the Darling boys ( the Dillards ) were also there and they were great fun to talk to. Matter of fact I had the opportunity to spend some quality time with her and them. Also had the opportunity to meet several others who were on the show a few times. The most fun one was Jim or James Best who played JIm Lindsey on Mayberry and the Sheriff on Dukes of Hazard.
Needless to say I had a great time and a most fun place to visit.
Another question: Who's the guy giving me a hug in the second picture ?
Somehow, I have to get to that festival.
I used to have the theme song from the show as my computer start-up tune.
Thanks for the pictures, Naomi, and the memories.

Was Goober the one that had an excellent singing voice?
That's cool, Naomi! Now why don't they make good wholesome TV anymore?
