Said goodbye to Wayne as he left on next leg of his road trip. Peg and I looked at each other and said "Good idea! Lets hit the road ourselves!" No where to be till next week. Loaded up the car (sorry not the MG) and with lovely weather all the way 11 hours later we are in Portland. Beautiful day here and trying to decide if we want to head for the coast or drive up to Mt Hood along the scenic Columbia River gorge. Wow! If weather stays this nice...!

Head to Cannon Beach or Lincoln City, it's supposed to get up to around 55 today with light clouds. Both places have great restaurants and awesome beaches.
Whatta day! Cruised to Cannon Beach and did pub grub at Bills Tavern!! Great brews of their own. Short sleeve T shirt weather! Think I may even have tanned a little from all the sun. Ice cream parlor down the street before we left town...I'm a happy camper.
Should have stopped at my house. It's currently empty (I hope!!)
Well, one of the probs in visiting a state without sales tax...came across such a deal the ol' Tahoe is loaded with a new 55" plasma TV with 3D.
