Doris and I did the turn-around after the VW chassiswith no problems at all, got home about 9:45 last night, we had left about 7:15 AM. We were about 3 miles from the Cincinatti air port from the looks of the airliners going in. It was about a 750 mile trip ad Doris drove about 100 miles of it while I napped on the bunk in the back of the van then I took it the last 100 home. No rain and I got the chasis in the shop were I'm working this morning.

You picked a good day to come. I was out buzzing around in the MGB on 74, might have passed you.

Are you starting a new project, or is this for the baja bug?

I took my 72 BGT and my wife down to Santa Monica and strolled the pier and had dinner at Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake (My wife's fav) a round trip of about 260 miles. The GT ran flawlessly, not bad for a $2000 car! While going down Wilshire I saw a auto dealer called" Cars with class" So I just had to stop and look. There was a really nice Alfa GTV for $26k and a POS '55 Plymouth station wagon painted a crappy peach color that looked like it was painted with a roller for $19K!! I guess there is no recession in Santa Monica! I took the canyons down and mullholland over to Bob's some nice twisties! All in all we took advantage of the lull between storms to have a nice day.

It's for the Baja. The main structural pan on it is shot to hell and buying this chassis cost less than parts to fix the original one.
