Just got my November issue of Road & Track (I've got almost every issue back to the early 50's) and saw a letter to the editor from Bill Spohn with a nice picture of his 3.4L Jamaican..Way to go Bill! (see attached)

Hi Mike. Thanks for posting that. I haven't seen my copy yet (subscriptions to Canada come by dogsled) but I'll look forward to it!

It came today. I wasn't sure why they wanted a high res image file for such a small image, but it certainly came out well!

Can someone scan just the parts pertaining to Bill so it's readable?

Thanks!

They needed a high res photo, unlike looking at things on our screens at 72 or 96 pixels per inch, they needed something that could go at least to 300 ppi.

With the photo you gave them, that's probably as large as they could go with pixelation or blurring.

I think they just wanted the highest res image and then would work down from there.

I sent them the same 7 MB JPG file that I later had printed into an 8 x 10 - about the maximum you can get photographic equivalent quality from that size file.

I'd worked from a 20 mb RAW file originally.

It would have been nice had they used it as a centre fold, but.......:-)
