When I was cleaning my OD transmission last year, with a drill and a 3M disk, the dang thing grabbed the harness and kinda ripped in two, the wire to the solenoid and one of the green wires. It can be repaired but I think I should just replace it. I don't see the harness in my Moss catalogue, only in VB. I would prefer to get it from one of my local Moss dealers. It is a blue label from a '77. The switch was in the shifter, but I want to put it in the original spot, the indicator. If Moss does have them, would someone help me by finding a number for me. There will be no vacuum advance connected to it either.
Or.. if someone here makes them... even better.

Thanks

Paul

I got one for my Black label OD from VB. I think I paid $16.95.

What colour are the two wires and their lengths? I may have the correct colour wires in the Jaguar wiring harness I have and you can make your own.

I'll second the BRITISH WIRING suggestion. Looks to me like you need harness number 664!

Give them a call for a quote. They are great folks to do business with - I buy all my wire and bullets for the relay kits from them!

I got mine from moss, and wrapped it with their blue wiring tape. Looks great.

I am with Kimberly, I have been pointed to them to pick up the O/D wiring harness myself for when I install mine.

Thanks all, for the assistance. Once again, though.. this forum has come through big time. Thankyou to Brian (B..seein ya) who has generously offered me a new harness he had at home.

Made my own - pretty simple. Crimp on spade connectors, 14AWG or similar automotive wire, heat shrink tubing...

I tried to snake two 14 gauge wires through the hole in the gear shft and was unable to do so.... can I use a smaller gauge wire?

Sure you can - the O/D solenoid pulls about 1 amp (max), so you can use 18, or even 20 gauge without a problem.
