Hi All:
What is the secret for getting the trim strips onto the pop riveted discs? Do they push on? I've tried to no avail. Any suggestions?
Getting close to the end of 3.5 year resto.

Try putting the bottom edge on first them kind of roll your palm up to stretch/spread the channel a little until to top pops in. Make sure you don't have a watch on the wrist you are pushing with in case your hand slips and you gouge the paint.
Yep, what Peter suggested. Also, make sure the studs are slid into the molding strip and are in the correct hole before you start popping the moldings down on the captive rivets.
Thanks Peter, it's on. I wasn't setting the bottom edge in and up enough the first time. I did it as you suggested pushing firmly up then rolled the trim into place. It wasn't easy but each finally went on and set with a firm snap and it looks great. 5 more to go. Thanks again
Roger when are you posting some pictures of that perfect restoration you are doing on your 70 split bumper?
I have seen Roger's car and his workmanship is superlative. There is no detail is too small that he hasn’t taken the time to get it perfect.
