My'67 BGT (Now Neg Earth) has a license plate lite out on driver side, right?
So I tear it all apart figuring it might be the bulb only to find the bumper guard isn't making a good ground because it's a wee bit loose. I crawl underneath and barely can fit a socket or wrench in there and find the bolt is stripped in the spacer and it won't come out nor tighten... There's no room between the head of the bolt and the spring bar either to try and wedge a scew driver in there to HELP it out.
Any suggestions?
Mark

Take the bumper off the car....only two nuts and two wires to deal with. Then cut/grind the head off and remove guard and start over.

You can usually get a small pair of curved jaw vice grips in there to grip the captive nut if you don't feel like tackling bumper removal.

X2... with the bumper off its much easier to get at the bolt and cut it off.
