I have an engine with the date dial of 70 and an engine code of 18GH-RWE-H38897. The casting is different than any 5 main I have seen and it looks like morris green paint.

From Clausager's book your engine is was installed in a MGB. The "R" represents an overdrive was installed. It was for North American export. High compression (8.8:1).
