I was looking at some poly mounts and am trying to see if I found one which may be similar or close enough to make fit where the rear transmission mounts go (not the buffer, but the actual square rubber blocks with a stud on one end and the flange on the other).

Here's the mount:

It is a "universal" motor mount for a jeep I believe.

Thanks

No way the MGB mounts are 4 1/2" on center at the holes.

Hi Hurst.

The holes are between 2.0 to 2.70 apart and are across the narrower dimension of the block. (So the Jeep one starts off oriented wrong)

The rubber block is about 1.5 x 2.0 and is 1.07 high including the steel on both sides.

The overall height including the stud is 1.73".

Pretty sure someone already makes poly gearbox mounts. You shouldn't have to cross reference. (Energy maybe?)

The only poly that I have ever heard of is the little doughnuts that go on the center stabilizing nut and then the pads for the buffer rod. I will get to doing some researching.

Is that measurement for the holes the inner edge to inner edge and outer edge to outer edge? So I am looking at something around 2.4 inches from bolt center to bolt center?

The other thing I am looking at is metal mounts with poly inserts for the stud to dampen.

Yes. Inner edge and outer edge of the holes. 2.4" center to center appears to be accurate (hand holding calipers across the holes)
