Well got back today from an Easter weekend trip from OH to WV, not only to visit for the holiday but to pick up a purchase of two more MG's. I followed up on an ad that one of the members posted about 2 MG's for sale in WV for $500. Purchase was made, brought home the 76 on our return trip and the other left at the inlaw's house. The one that came home is a bit "rough" but has an O/D, alloy head, Snug Top and a few other additives. Hmmm, speaking of additives, the PO was getting this one in the spot to load and picked up a gas can and didn't realize until after it was too late he put a gallon of diesel in the gas tank!!!!!!!!! Kept the red hair in check and completed the sale, mind you the motor in this one only had 34,000 on it and sounded really good when running.

The other car is a 74 B-GT, that ran when parked (in the late 90's) but the folks in my home state sometimes "borrow parts" from non-moving cars from time to time. So they managed to lift the HIF's, manifold and a couple other items. Here are a couple photo's, keep in mind they are rough but for $500 I think I got my money's worth. I have to say I would put these in as a "field find" instead of a barn even though one was parked behind the barn. Probably have a few things for sale soon, anything other than the O/D and the engine from the 76 B.

Nice find. And yes you can claim they followed you. Mine just showed up in the drive. I think they know when they've found a good home.

The GT is nice but is later than a '69.

You are right Ed, it is a 74. It was a long day yesterday :). It was more or less a freebie, since I only wanted the 76. So now I may find it a home, it looks to have the rockers rusted but I haven't been able to look it over real well yet to see how bad it really is. I do know the rear chrome bumper was in decent shape, along with the rear hatch.

Hey...if they were on a trailer, they HAD to follow you home!

I like the wheels on the R/B!

Rick, I liked those wheels too and am thinking of putting those onto my 78. I haven't seen actual Enkei wheels like those in awhile. It also has a nice dual tip ANSA exhaust installed on it and a second one that is almost new came in the hatch of the GT. I had been wanting one of those exhaust systems to put on so I will have to check into swapping it. The extra parts box seems to have 1-2 new clutch plates, plus another that may have been new when put into the box. Also a set of those Euro mirrors that Moss sold, the black ones that look a tad more modern. I just hope the little mouse that lived in the trunk of the 76 managed to stay in the fields of WV.

Had they been around here I sure would have bought them for that price! You got a great deal :)

At that price I don't think they followed you, you stole em!
