Does anyone have a pic of a mk1, chrome bumper, without the overriders in place.
Deciding whether or not to put them on. (front and back)

I like the overriders, but Ryan's car looks sweet without em!
If you ignore the side marker lights, mine looks pretty much like a MkI.
Haven't taken them off the rear, yet, as I haven't the bits to do a license plate light without the over-riders.
Ryan's car looks like a shark, I've always liked that shot.
Nice look... you can get chrome bolts to fill the holes at local parts stores or Lowe's.
Greg.... where's the license plate?
Mike-
I do have and use a license plate! Actually this picture was taken right after the car was painted and the bumper was reinstalled. I like the look without the overriders. Here are some more recent pics with the plate installed.
I am not sure. I do know that if you leave the rear bumper loose and roll the car into some cabinets they leave a nice dent on the back of the car! ....
Here is my GT without them:

If you post or send me a picture of your car, I can Photoshop them out (remove them) so you can see what it would look like on your car.
I like the appearence with out the back up lights, also. Although I have them on my present car, I removed them form two previous cars and prefer them with out.
What with the gas cap, the back up lights and the over riders the back end always seemed too busy for my taste.
Mike
One thing to keep in mind when you take off the overriders is that you no longer will have any license plate lights, something cops don't really like. There are specialty plate frames or bolts with lights built in that you can use, which is what Norm Davies did on his car, or you can use a later MGB plate holder with the lights on the side, as seen here, on the car of a certain ex MGB Exp member:

Posting a picture of that car on this site is a big no-no, but its the only one I had that showed what I'm talking about...
Wow, thanks guys. Looking at all those I'm certainly going to consider leaving them off.
The rear number plate may be a bit of a challenge but there is also a few solutions for that here as well.
:) :) :)
Chris
Greg that is one fine car! Paul
Yes it is, Love the look of that paint!!
There are lots of MGB's in the "British V8" photo gallery with overriders removed... and pretty much any other non-standard variation you can think of.
Over 5000 photos of modified British sports cars on one website!

Here are a couple examples that come to mind:

Not if you have a 70. :)
Well, I'm definitely going to delete the over-riders.
I especially like the look of this one - it's even a similar colour.
Chris
I'd go with the license plate frame with the built in light. It fits in more with the simpler look you're going for.
