Hats off to Jeff, finally got the gt out of the shop and dropped in the new Advanced distributor. Acceleration from 55 to 90 was improved 100% unbelievable pickup from 3500 to 5500, a highly worthwhile investment.
I also was able to complete the installation of the cold air intake system I was working on. It turned out the parts were available from existing sources so it was just a matter of locating the sources and making them fit.
Since I put Jeff's dizzy in at the same time I did the CAI I can't measure what improvment if any the intake system made, but I know I'm breathing clean cold air through the grill
Thanks for all the advice on the AC system, my mechanic vacumed out the system, changed the oil, and now I am using the more acceptable refrigerant vs. R-13.
Put 200+ miles on the clock last wknd., it's great to be back on the road, meeting up with the British Car Club of Delaware on 4/12 for a run from Newark, DE to St. Michaels, MD. ahh Spring has sprung !
