OK.. I saw the Twist video now... 8 times... but he is too fast and his firkin hand is in the way...
The first item, the grease collar, that goes against the swivel axle... does the flat side go against the assembly or does the concaved side go against the flat assemble?
Paul

Was that the Chubby Checker video? I know, he moves his hands quickly. I never knew his collar was greasy, though.

Still on the Perks I see Robert. :D
Sorry, Paul, I'll get out of here so you can get some serious responses. I actually did my hubs last year, but can't remember exactly how the collar went.
:-)

You have nothing else to do, right Robert? go out and take them apart for me, would you please...... :)
I'm assuming you mean the metal ring that goes onto the swivel axle first. The chamfer in the ring is to provide relief for the radius where the spindle comes off the swivel forging., so the 'short flat' backs up against the swivel and the 'long flat' will provide a backing for the bearing
So.. the curved side goes toward the stub axle. Thanks
Paul
If you put it on backwards and are using the original spacers, the ring will be held "away" from the end of the stub axle by the radius there and you'll bottom out the bearings against the spacer before they make proper contact with the hub and it'll wobble and move in and out considerably. If they're on correctly, everything should tighten up just fine.
