I will lose power steering intermittantly and today after shutting off the motor a thick bubbly organge fluid was coming out of thepower steering fill cap area.... anyone know how to fix, drain the fluid , ... I'm not sure if you check the level running or stopped.... belts are ok and tight... appreciate any thoughts ideas, advice ... thanks...

I'd try flushing the fluid and replacing it with fresh. Just like brake fluid, it needs to be changed once in a while!

When my TOY was new i replaced the power steering fluid with Mobil -1 syn fluid.
138 thou ,,no problems.
Ck lines to and from pump ,,as pump supply problem will cause airating of fluid (foaming )
accompanied by erratic behavior ! !

You might consider replacing the pump - the housing may be sucking air through a bad seal or a cracked case. They're cheap. Basil
