Just starting out looking. Are all MGB's about the same size as far as interior room. The later models seem to look a little bigger. I am a tall guy. Also are there any reasons other than conditon to purchase a later or earlier model? Thanks for the help.
I have located a 1978 MGB that I will look at this week.

The cockpits are mechanically the same although the earlier seating and trim may give you the impression that the space is larger.
Aside from aesthetics of rubber bumper VS chrome bumper cars and the ride height of the RB cars, the major difference is the lack of power of the later cars with the single carb and converter. Other "minor" areas might be the unreliability of some of the OEM ignition bits.
Other than the above, the main areas of concern should be rust, rust, rust, general engine condition, rust, transmission condition, rust, front suspension condition and of course rust.

The body shell is the same size on all. The seats on the very early models were a bit anemic - less "stuffed" that is - than the later ones. Otherwise, there should ber about the same room in all of a body style. The GTs had a taller top, and thus a little more headroom than the roadsters with top up. Also, the GTs had a back seat for the wee ones (and I do mean wee).
Bring a camera with you. There is at least one buyers guide article here in the library section of this site. The B's are great little cars for tall people, they had bags of legroom.
Yep, takes lots of pictures and bring them to us. If you have more than two stick them on Photobucket and just add a link to your post. One thing is absolutely certain, you will get LOTS of expert advice and LOTS of personal opinions here. :-)

62-67s had a narrower transmission tunnel, hence wider footwells. Their dashes also weren't as "intrusive" as a padded or late model dash. Later, RB cars will be more comfortable for longer distance trips, as they have seats with a little better support and headrests, as well as a raised and softer suspension.
"bags of legroom"
for legs, yes. Knees, no.
6'4" folks can adapt
but you'll likely find you want to remount the seat an inch or so back (it'll only go so far) to get max room in front, and perhaps a smaller steering wheel (there are 14" wheels available...most have 15")
Look into your states smog laws. in California cars 1975 and older are exempt from smog inspection. other states have different laws. The smogged Bs were a source of problems even when new.
My preference is the earlier cars.
