I just couldn't resist this one. These were great little runabouts, the SeaRay Seville 18 footer. High quality build, glass, and fittings throughout compared to most other contemporary boats.

I've had an '89 with a 4.3 I/O in nice shape for a while and happened across this outboard version a few weeks ago. Now it's in the garage beside the I/O.

One of the better built glass boats I've seen and great in rougher water. This one needs a little TLC (that's mostly road dirt in the photo). SeaRay and Merc were both owned by Brunswick in the 80s so these ended up with 135 Mercs with SeaRay paint. Should make a quick and easy project. A little paint, a little upholstery, and no rust or wood rot.

Pic 2 is what it will look like in a month or so I hope. I'm avoiding doing any MG work at the moment.B)-

SeaRays are fairly well built. They maximize the room inside and the workmanship is decent. Makes it pita to run new wires though.

Brunswick took a beating in the last couple of years, a lot of boat builders they bought are gone, they pretty much drove the Northstar electronics division into the ground.

I'm plugging away at this one. Put another 135 Merc on it today to replace the blown up original, redid half the DPO wiring, put the muffs on it and she runs, pumps water and sounds good.

Next project to resew a few interior seams here and there and make new bolsters for the bow compartment where the DPO again took them out and lost them. Then on to touching up a few spots with coloured gelcoat repair and then some quality time with the buffer, some new striping, new Ebay acquired Sea Ray and Seville emblems and we're good to go.

I'm aiming to splash it in March this year and pull it out in December. This one is replacing the Seadoo boat my daughters have been using which has been nothing but a major pain in the butt and which I'm happy to say I've seen the last of.
