Not that i would, but was wondering could you? A friend and I were discussing the pros and cons of removing the door and bringing it to the body shop so that I could continue some of the other projects while the COD is repaired. He drives a Jeep and obviously drives without the doors from time to time. Could you safely drive a B without a door?

You will not be able to pressurize the cabin, but you should be ok.
Sounds like a good time to me! ...some more knowledgeable could probably comment, do the doors have any structural significance? Ie: taking a speed bump too fast, would it 'bend' anywhere?

Don't talk about it, Just do it.

Then tell us how it went ...(tu)
Would be great for picking up road kill. :D
I doubt the cops would like it.8-)
DON'T!
The MGB has no frame, and insufficient stiffness to drive much with doors missing.
You risk having your unitbody develop a permanent sag that would prevent the doors from closing once reinstalled.
Find an old used door to bolt on while yours is being repaired.
Like Jim said, wonder how the cops would feel about it. I guess as long as you are seatbelted in, it would be OK. The thing is, Jeeps are higher off the road and they have a hell of a frame for side impact. You would really have no protection at all.
If the doors were part of the supporting structure, and the sills were that fragile, would it not be impossible
to open the doors during normal use?
I can see if the sills are rusted beyond the point of providing support, but the doors would be jammed shut if
the car was that weak.

X2 The doors are not part of the structure unless the car is so rusty that it's bending in the middle already . In that case, it's not safe to drive anyway.
Drive it and have fun.
If you miss having the door mirrors, just go faster so that no one can sneak up in your blind spot ;0)

I was going to say that but I've riden motorcycle for 12 years now. Not much protection there either.::o
X3 on the strength issue. MGB is a very rigid structure, even minus the doors. I had a parts car with the sills totally gone. The trans tunnel and scuttle were suporting the car and the doors still opened and closed.
Been there and done that. No doors, windsheild, interior, dash, it was fun. Wouldn't have been fun if I was in a wreck!
I drove a '58 VW quite a bit sans doors. As to how the cops felt? It is not against the law AFAIK and I didn't much care how they felt. I have ridden in airplanes and helicopters with out doors, also.
