Flashpoint

I saw on CNN this morning that the Houston area was getting a couple of inches of snow. I just took the B out for a spin here in Vancouver, and thought I'd share. It was a chilly 5 celsius (41F) but with bright sun. Sorry for the pic quality. Blackberries are neither good phones nor good cameras, but it's what I had with me.

Now I have seen everything. I thought only us folks in Arizona could gloat!

I really hope the folks in the warm climates don't get a lot of snow and cold this winter :D :D

By the way.. it was around +1c most of the day here and sunny until about three hours ago. Small sprinkles of the white stuff now...

Good luck Texas. :)

We had some snow here in Austin, but I took the B out anyway for a short trip anyway. The snow was very light and melted right away.

The project for this weekend is to get the heater to work. It looks like the controls are not connected so as to open valve to let hot water into the heater section.

Here in El Paso, we got a double whammy of snow . Started Monday morn, and stopped Tues, about 4 inches on the cars, then got another helping yesterday evening around 8pm. Would of been nice over the Thanksgiving holiday. Bad thing is that motorists here don't know how to drive it in or just plain think snow on the road means all is normal. Everything shuts down or slows down to a crawl but should the way people drive when they see the white stuff. Now down in south Tex, I'm sure it is the same!

When I was in school down there for 4 years we would get sleet storms in Houston. Cold as heck and the chill would goto your bones. Same there.

This brief cold snap will be gone in a day or two. Seventy degrees forecast for later in the week. The B shall ride again with the top down. Isn't this great!

Yeah, well all that Southern snow is on its way up here. We're supposed to get 1" - 3" Saturday. Hope so. :D

Thanks for the reminder! No snow here and the sun was out this morning in the RGV. S TX and the Pacific NW, my 2 favorite running grounds.
