No, I can't...and frankly I've come to the conclusion that 90% of Division I male athletes are little more than thugs that have no business attending college at all.

Its time to stop the charade of the "student athlete" in football and basketball and admit that our institutions of higher learning are merely sponsoring free minor league teams for the benefit of the NBA and NFL. Hell, without special admissions policies for athletes, most of them wouldn't be admitted at all. And only a precious few actually graduate, especially in basketball.

I saw in the paper last month were a football player at some Big 12 school was granted a 6th year of eligibility. I wonder how his degree program is coming along?

ADDED - sorry for the unintended rant..

I think if you check UNC has one of the highest graduation rates among NCAA schools. And these schools would never do away with athletics (especially successful programs like UNC and Duke) because they generate big $$$ in revenue for the schools. Yes there are thugs in all walks of life and they are more prevalent in some schools more than others...

The ACC ain't what it used to be. Who let in all these Yankees and those people from southwest Virginia?

And Kyle Singler joins the list of K-clones with cheap dirty tactics .... what amazes me is that both he and Gerald Henderson are outstanding ballplayers and shouldn't need to resort to such manuevers to play the game. I guess the leader of the pack teaches and condones this type of play and history alone should tell me it will never stop as long as K is at the helm

It almost seems like coach K tells them,"get Hansbrough out of the game by any means...."
Guess he overlooked Ed Davis and Deon Thompson.....
