I was looking to replace my vehicle ID badge on the door sill and all I can find anywhere are the tourer ones...the GT's have the letters "GT" after the VIN. Anyone get an aftermarket one for a GT?

Yeah - but the picture on page 75 of Moss P/N 408-340 shows it with the suffix TOURER instead of GT - so I am curious what folks with GT's have done if they replace. Brandon

I'm watching this thread intently as I'm wanting to replace mine too. It seems like the GT's are the red-headed stepchild of the MGB world!

Yes Shawn, I am hopefull to see if someone has a source - all VB and MOss have are for the tourer, and they do not specify. (I had looked for one before painting so I just left it on, figure I can replace it later -old pic) Also, shawn, you went withthe earlier Grille on your GT? I had to replace mine and went with the 74 grille. Your GT looks great, by the way. If you thought harvest gold was a true 70's color try Aconite! Brandon

Yes Brandon you are correct! Your color, I bet, is much rarer than Harvest Gold. Maybe we could start our own 1970's theamed TV show. I know, we'll call it "That 70's Show"! I can already see the dough pouring in! How about you? :D

We'd need a citron colored GT to round out the offering. The colors are definitely products of their times, but I like them - anyone can have red or BRG. I say mine is BRG - British racing GRAPE. I looked at a Bedouin color GT on the site and then immediately noticed I am pretty sure the Honda element comes in a color very close to bedouin (a friend of mine has one.) Everything old is new again.

Come on, some GT owner has replaced this ID badge, I hope . . . .

Sadly, it hard to sneak around in a purple car with chrome wire wheels. Brandon

Here is a cast member that is a Citronite or a Citrononian. Funny, I don't remeber Citron when it was the '70's! LOL.
