Couple of nice V8s available in trader. As I age, I question the need for two old girls beside the one I'm married to. Yes, the "B"s can be just as demanding, if not more so. My body finds it more and more difficult to keep up with their needs. I love them all dearly, but somebody with wheels may have to go. Would like to think either one is good for the price of a V8 installed (if prices on Trader are an indication). My question is would you reject the roadster or the GT to obtain motor for the other?

Jim, you're just lusting after that drivetrain that Pete is selling! Take a deep breath, it'll pass!
But if you want a serious answer, if I put myself in your shoes I'd probably sell the '67 roadster. Setting emotional attachments aside, being a '67 and a roadster it's probably more collectable and more valuable. The v8 fits the same in either one.
It is of course your gut that will tell you your answer, but I personally would have to go with the roadster.
V-8 will fit nicer in the '71 with 4-syncro and tube-type rear end.
'67 is the last "B" with early charm (if you don't count the pull-handle crowd!).

Guilty!
When you get old and decrepit like me it will be alot easier to get in and out of the roadster with the top down. Getting out of my GT can be a real challenge to to the left hip on a damp day.
