Pulled the roadster out of the garage in order to reach some christmas decorations. Sun was shining and I thought it might be
opportunity to run up the valley and blow the cobwebs. Should have known when the cat was climbing the door to get in....! It is bloody cold for northern California! Top is still down...parka hasn't been broken out yet. I didn't take that top down blast! Temp in low 20s expected tonight and snow on the hills maybe lower anticipated. Like I said, sure am glad I don't live where its reallly cold. Content to decorate.
Whats your neck of the woods feel like?

Down into the teens tomorrow night and close to it tonight. I'm glad to have Bea in a warm cozy building and Bugsey in Bea's garage for the cold and crumby weather time.
Jim, It was about 26 here last night, but tonight it supose to be in the low 50s.
They are saying low 80's tomorrow, before the rain brings in another cold front

Spent a winter in Montgomery. Sure got colder than I would have expected from the deep south!
Were you in the Air Force at Maxwell?
I live about 5 miles from Maxwell.
Started my Med Tech school at Gunter in '62. Enjoyed the racial tensions and Cuban missile crisis while there. Did my clinicals at Maxwell.
Even with Bachelors in unrelated subject my career was based on training received there. Able to challenge state nursing board in '68 and the rest is history. Comfortably retired for three years now. (I did like that area).
Yes. It SNOWED in Sacramento this morning. Just a trace, but I understand the foothills around got hammered.
Clear up here (130 miles north)but supposed to be 20 degrees tonight. Time to cover the plants out front.
It is -4 right now here in Jamestown, North Dakota. A touch of snow on the ground. There is a major snow storm to the south of us which hopefully should keep tracking south. It sounds like my other place in SW Colorado (where my TD is) is getting a couple days of snow. I guess I just have to tough things out for the next couple of months until I crank the TD up and enjoy some Colorado driving. I should get back down there right after Christmas. Hopefully it will be a bit warmer there and I won't have to move too much snow. Stay warm!
Currently 15 degrees here due to the same cold front as you are getting, Jim. At least the forecast is sunny all week, so no snow or ice. The high temp today is supposed to be 31. Slight warming trend through the week, but still remaining cold.
Today, Eastern Oregon, Dec. 8th, 9AM PST, temp +1.4F. High expected about + 15F. Clear sunny, -3.5F this morning at 6AM. Sorry folks, but if you are east of here, it is coming your way. We will get rain, snow, and ice all weekend. Hope yours is better.
Here, this is the best time of the year for driving top down. Blue skies and shining sun.
It has been snowing for 2 days and not expected to get out of the teens until Friday
Howling wind, blowing snow, zero temps, and most all the passes into the valley, including Wolf Creek, are closed. Juan Carlos, got an extra room I can use for a couple of months? And lots of cold Corona?

Wolf Creek Pass, way up on the great divide? I've trucked down the other side (sorry C.W McCall). Part of that 10 hours in a bug eye sprite I've alluded to in the past. Very scenic in the summer.

Sure. You're wellcome.
I can share a room with one or two of the models in the pics.:spinning:
Around 4c here at the moment, dropping to 1c over night by friday, clear and sunny so top down on friday to go get the MOT done for another year.
where Jim and I are, it's in the low 40s (F) at 3pm. damn cold for us. Hit 20 last night. Snow at less than 500 feet in the hills.
They had snow on Mt. Diablo over in the East Bay yesterday, a friend mentioned. I guess it extended even further south too.
Sorry Art T. 12" snow, 2' drifts, near "0" tonight, nearly stuck the tractor and I'm low on scotch. But the sun WILL shine!
Rained most of the day (still) and now 38°F here. Winter has struck. We're expecting a "wintry mix" Saturday, perhaps.
Dec 9....snow finally on the ground. The road in front looks slushy. Don't know the temp because my weatherbug disappeared. It is official now, the B has to go to bed for the Winter.
My wife's car read 10F ambient temperature as she drove off this AM, and the tire pressure warning light came on as she drove off.
And today we're in the 60s with enough wind to blow the leaves off my neighbors' yards and into mine :(

x2 on the wind, you probably have leaves there from my yard.
It was supposed to be warming up slightly the last couple days, but this morning it was 9 F according to my wife's car, and 6 F when she got to work. That's about as cold as it ever gets here. When she got home from work the tire pressure light was off. I checked the pressure and it was exactly 32 in all four tires. I bumped it up to 35. Man, my air hose in the shop felt like it was made of hard plastic!
